The Department of Data Privacy educates practice-oriented professionals who can strike a balance between personal information protection and the use of data across diverse industry environments.
To enable students to respond proactively to changes in the data regulatory environment in Korea and abroad, the program strengthens both legal interpretation and technical response capabilities, and systematically addresses the tasks encountered in the workplace — protecting the rights of data subjects, establishing internal management plans and designing technical safeguards. Through practice-centered education that can be applied immediately in sectors where the safe processing of personal information is essential, such as finance, healthcare, the public sector and services, the Department produces professionals capable of leading an organization's data protection framework.
