Department of Security Engineering

The Department of Security Engineering is a contract-based program providing continuing education for security managers at LG Group affiliates, offering advanced security technology education that can be applied immediately in the workplace.
Through a hands-on curriculum reflecting the latest technological trends — system and network security, threat detection and response, malware analysis and AI-based security technologies — students strengthen their ability to solve real technical problems. Beyond an understanding of the latest security technologies, the program also covers the technical skills and field-oriented application strategies needed to apply them effectively in actual work environments, so that students can systematically build practical capabilities and adapt flexibly to technological change.

The Department of Defense Technology Protection offers a curriculum designed to respond swiftly to an environment in which the strategic value of defense technology is increasing as advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing and unmanned systems converge with national defense. Its goal is to educate professionals who can systematically protect core technologies amid civil–military technology convergence and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. To this end, the Department produces interdisciplinary professionals with protection capabilities spanning the full life cycle of defense technology, from planning and development through testing and evaluation, production and export.
